This looks to be a contrarian play from the early action, but I don’t mind OKC +3.5 here.
Given the majority of early money coming in on Houston, I could see this line even moving further in OKC’s favour.
OKC have looked much better in the last two games, in large part due to the defence of Luguentz Dort on James Harden.
If Harden isn’t cooking, the Rockets just don’t have anyone else capable of picking up the slack.
They’ve got an incredibly thin rotation and I can see their ‘bigs’ tiring the longer this series goes.
OKC have a better and more well-rounded starting five and have also been getting excellent bench minutes from Dennis Schroder.
They’re not even shooting well from 3 on some high-quality looks, which I could see shifting towards their favour here.
Unless we see Harden go super saiyan here, I think they’ve got a decent shot at an upset.
This is a game I expect to be fairly close late and 3.5 points could prove invaluable.
