Perth Scorchers vs Adelaide Strikers Tips, Odds and Teams – BBL Big Bash Boxing Day

Boxing Day in Australia is good for two things, eating leftovers from Christmas and watching the cricket. The BBL has you covered with the Perth Scorchers still searching for their first win of the season against the Adelaide Strikers.

When: Wednesday 26/12/2018 at 19:15

Where: Optus Stadium, Perth

Bet: Bet On This Match HERE

PERTH SCORCHERS (0-2) ($2.05) v ADELAIDE STRIKERS (1-1) ($1.75)

The Wolf expects the Scorchers to bounce back in the west

The Scorchers have been let down by batting collapses in their opening two games and because of it they are anchored to the bottom of the BBL table. They lost 9/60 against the Renegades and were 3/9 early on against the Sixers. Perth have batted right through their lineup twice and have had 18 individual innings of 15 runs or less.

The Wolf thinks that the Perth crowd will get behind the Scorchers on Boxing Day and they will bounce back. Despite their struggles early in the season, they are still a good side.

The Strikers lost to the Renegades on Sunday by 5 wickets, with their bowling lineup failing to take control of the game as Harper (28), White (32), Nabi (48) and Christian (49) chased down the Strikers score of 174 with 5 balls left.

David Willey to hit a 6 ($1.90)

Klinger to score under 24.5 runs ($1.88)

Klinger just hasn’t clicked yet in BBL|08 and averaged just 19.4 last season. The Wolf thinks that the Strikers bowlers will get him out early in this game. Import David Willey has plenty of talent and in 5 innings last season hit five 6’s. He is a big hitter and the Wolf expects him to lift in this match.

VALUE: Coulter-Nile 2+ Wickets, Carey to Score 50+ Runs ($7.00)

Nathan Coulter-Nile made his much anticipated debut for the Scorchers this season, taking the Richie Benaud-esque figures of 2/22 against the Melbourne Renegades and 0/34 against the Sydney Sixers on Sunday. He has the quality and international experience to have an impact in this game. Punters can expect some slight adjustments to the Perth batting lineup.

Carey exploded in the opening game of the BBL with a knock of 70 that included five 4’s and four 6’s to guide the Strikers to a win over the Heat at the Gabba. Carey scored just 5 against the Renegades and was run out, but the Wolf knows that he averaged 49.22 last season from his 11 innings including two 50’s and a superb century against Hobart at the Adelaide Oval.

The Wolf thinks that the Scorchers are good value at $2.05 to get their first win of the season.

BEST BETS: Perth Scorchers ($2.05), David Willey to hit a 6 ($1.90), Klinger to score more than 24.5 runs ($1.88)
