PGA Championship Golf Tips, Odds and Free Bonus Bets – 2021

The second major of the year will tee off at the Ocean Course, Kiawah Island in South Carolina on Thursday, as the world’s best golfers seek their place in the history books at the 2021 PGA Championship.

The Ocean Course is a 7876m par 72 and has hosted a major only once previously; the 2012 PGA Championship, which was interestingly won by this year’s market favourite, Rory McIlroy.

This shapes as one of the most open Major championship in recent memory and there is a case to be made for plenty of players in 2021 PGA Championship betting.

You can find our preview and complete 2021 PGA Championship tips below.

Rory McIlroy ($11)

A lot looks to be in Rory McIlroy’s favour ahead of the 2021 PGA Championship.

The world number 7 missed the cut at The Masters early last month, but he responded with an outstanding performance at The Wells Fargo Championship a fortnight ago, and confidence is sure to be through the roof heading into Thursday.

Further to his proven ability at the Ocean Course, it’s also interesting to note that McIlroy was in fact the last player to win a tournament in his final start before winning a major, having taken out the World Golf Championship the week prior to taking out the 2014 PGA Championship.

He’s well and truly worth consideration at PGA Championship odds of $11.

Justin Thomas ($13)

World number 2 Justin Thomas is yet to taste success during the 2021 calendar year, but he has also returned just one poor performance during the entire season, and he represents a live chance of winning the PGA Championship.

Having won The Players Championship in March, Thomas finished T21 at The Masters and hasn’t finished far off the pace at two subsequent tournaments.

He rarely puts a foot wrong in high pressure situations and he’ll take plenty of beating if he’s within striking distance on Day 4.

Bryson DeChambeau ($15)

It’s probably fair to say that it’s rocks or diamonds for Bryson DeChambeau at the Majors, but I think that he represents value in PGA Championship betting at odds of $15.

The big-hitting world number 5 broke through for his first Major victory with an utterly dominant performance at the US Open late last year, and has returned several pleasing performances in the wake, including another win at the Arnold Palmer Invitational.

He wasn’t at his best at the AT&T Byron Nelson last week, but he has typically responded well off the back of a flat performance this season, and I am happy to get involved at the price.

Cameron Smith ($34)

Cameron Smith has quite clearly usurped Jason Day, Adam Scott and Marc Leishman as Australia’s best golfer, and he too represents value in PGA Championship betting at odds of $34.

Smith has been one of the most consistent performers on tour this season and has franked his effort for second at last year’s Masters Tournament several times over.

He has continued to improve with each appearance in the lead-up to the PGA Championship, finishing T10 at The Masters and T9 at the RBC Heritage before winning the Zurich Classic of New Orleans last time out.

Abraham Ancer ($41)

Abraham Ancer is a serious talent, and the 2021 PGA Championship represents his best chance of winning a major so far.

The thirty-year-old announced himself to the Australian golfing fraternity when winning the 2018 Australian Open, and he was a shining light for the world team in a losing effort at the Presidents Cup in 2019.

He enters the PGA Championship following an impressive nine-under second behind McIlroy at the Wells Fargo Championship and will take plenty of momentum to South Carolina.
