After their playoff hopes were dealt a serious blow last week, the Minnesota Vikings will be aiming to stay in touch with a crowded NFC Wild Card picture when they host the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday Night Football.
The Vikings became the first team in 364 days to lose to the Lions and did so after taking a 27-23 lead when Kirk Cousins connected with Justin Jefferson inside the two-minute warning.
It spoiled a monster day for Jefferson, who had 11 catches for 182 yards and that score, but more importantly severely dented Minnesota’s playoff hopes.
On the other side, the Steelers snapped their two-game skid with a 20-19 come-from-behind win over the Ravens, stopping them on a two-point conversion in the final seconds.
It was a crucial win for the Steelers, who kept themselves alive in the cut-throat AFC North and with a shot at a wild card spot.
