Portland Trail Blazers vs Los Angeles Lakers Tips, Odds and Bets – NBA Playoffs 2020

This is a classic example of the perception of these two teams changing way too much after the seeding games.

The Lakers were arguably the best team in the NBA this season and essentially had nothing to play for in the bubble.

Portland did manage to put a string of good results together, but their opponents rarely had the same motivation level.

The Lakers match up very well with this Portland side and I’d expect them to win this series in 5 games or less.

The fact that Lakers -2.5 is available at $2.10 is amazing to me and this is one of the better value playoff plays I recall seeing.

Portland have some of the worst wing defenders in the NBA, which doesn’t exactly bode well against LeBron James.

Anthony Davis has also enjoyed great success against this Portland side, particularly during a first-round sweep in 2018.

CJ McCollum has been playing injured of late, meaning that everything is on the shoulders of Dame here, who is surely running on fumes at this point.

While he’ll still get his, capable defensive options like Danny Green and KCP should at least contain him.

Without the lure of home court advantage, I think the better team wins much more often during this post-season.

When teams go down 2-0, I’m not expecting many comebacks that turn into competitive series.

I think the Lakers win this at a canter and see great value in the sweep at $4.25.

If you want to play it a little safe, Lakers -2.5 games at $2.10 is the way to go.
