Richmond Tigers vs Geelong Cats Preview

Here’s a fun fact – Richmond is yet to win a return Grand Final ‘bout, however, unlike boxing, the premiership cups still remain in the trophy cabinet at Punt Road Oval.

So while it’s a good omen for the Cats, it’s not really the “Grand Final rematch” as it will be billed up as.

Pedantic observations aside, this Friday night’s game should be a cracking contest.

Richmond proved last Friday night that they are still the team to beat and Geelong had a visit from the Karma bus in Sydney.

Everyone knows it was 15 meters+, but I refer you to the case of the Cats playing the Brisbane Lions (proudly sponsored by Neds) back in Round 2.

With it being SAME GAME MULTI ROUND in our tips and preview this weekend, I’m quietly confident in this could be the one to really kick start Round 8.

The Tigers have won five out of their last six against Geelong in the 1-39 point range, so lock in Richmond to win by 1-39 as the first leg as it’s fair to say this game will be an arm wrestle.

While the Tigers will be without Trent Cotchin or Dylan Grimes this Friday, Dustin Martin returns and a kid by the name of Shai Bolton goes alright.

Bolton starred last weekend against the Bulldogs, booting three goals and racking up 22 disposals.

The out-of-contract small forward to boot 2+ sausage rolls is a good one to add as the second leg.

Combine that all together, and have the confidence that the Tigers should be able to flex their muscle against the Cats on Friday night and you’ve got a 2-leg Same Game Multi-valued at $8.08, what a terrific way to build the bank ahead of the weekend if that gets up.
