The Run To The Rose Day well be held at Kembla Grange on Saturday, and ten races are on the program.
The rail will be set out five metres 1100m-W/Post and two metres the remainder, while at publish, the track is rated in the Good (4) range.

Race 1 – 11:40AM – Highway Class 3 Handicap, (1400m)
Rari will contest this week’s Highway race, and I am confident that he is a winning chance at a nice price.
The Sizzling gelding has returned several smart performances throughout his career, and he returned to winning form at Doomben two starts back before finishing sixth in the Murwillumbah Newmarket last time.
He’s rock-hard fit and gets some relief in the weights under a claiming apprentice.
Race 2 – 12:15PM – Dyson Handicap, (2400m)
Off Shaw only just missed in a similar contest here at Kembla Grange a fortnight ago, and I’m confident he can go one better on Saturday.
The Tobique gelding recorded a lovely won on the Kensington course here three starts back, and he was unlucky not to win under the same conditions two back as well.
He’s at peak fitness for this contest and the booking of Kerrin McEvoy is positive.
Race 3 – 12:50pm – Bowermans Commercial Furniture Handicap, (2000m)
I’m happy to stick with Yiyi in the third on Run To The Rose Day.
Yiyi has been nothing short of outstanding since resuming this time, and he won races at Newcastle and Randwick at his first two back, finishing an agonizingly close second at his two subsequent appearances.
He is in peak condition for Saturday’s race and meets plenty of his key rivals well under the conditions.
Race 4 – 1:25pm – Midway Handicap, (1200m)
Oxford Tycoon was a good thing licked here at Kembla Grange a couple of weeks ago, and he can go one better in this week’s Midway Handicap.
The Written Tycoon gelding finished more than six lengths behind Kingsheir at Randwick when fresh, but absolutely savaged the line after finally getting out last time out.
Fitter third-up and with even luck, he is my best bet on the program.
Race 5 – 2:00pm – Listed Dulcify Stakes, (1500m)
The first black type of the day will see a classy field of three-year-olds contest the Dulcify Stakes, and I think that Subterranean can return to winning form.
Subterranean has so-far been the most promising progeny of Rebel Dane, and he won in Group 3 company most notably during his two-year-old season.
He has stripped fitter for credible efforts for fourth and third in the Up And Coming Stakes and the Ming Dynasty Quality since resuming this time, and will enjoy getting out to 1500m this week.
Race 6 – 2:40pm – Group 2 Sheraco Stakes, (1200m)
Fituese was very impressive when winning the Toy Show Quality first-up a fortnight ago, and she can make it two in a row when she steps out in the Sheraco Stakes.
Since making her debut, Fiteuse has built an outstanding record, winning seven of her 14 career starts and finishing second on two other occasions.
The Kiwi raider Entriviere looks the obvious threat in this contest, but Fituese clearly has the class, and she has the fitness edge as well.
Race 7 – 3:15pm – Group 2 Theo Marks Stakes, (1300m)
This is a strong edition of the Theo Marks Stakes and there are several winning chances engaged, including Icebath.
Icebath is unlucky not to have won a major race during her career, and she finished an agonizingly close second in The Golden Eagle at the conclusion of her spring prep last year, and an agonizingly close second in the Doncaster Mile at the conclusion of her autumn prep this year.
She finished a length third behind the impressive Private Eye in the Show County Quality when resuming, and I think that she can turn the tables on that horse.
Race 8 – 3:55pm – Group 2 The Run To The Rose, (1200m)
This is a stacked edition of the Run To The Rose and some of the country’s best three-year-olds will be stepping out, but I simply cannot look past the resuming Anamoe.
Anamoe was the star of his age group during his two-year-old season, placing in both the Blue Diamond Stakes and the Golden Slipper, and winning both the Todman Stakes and the Inglis Sires’ most notably.
He has had the benefit of a trial in the lead-up to his return, and James McDonald will steer on Saturday from an ideal draw.
Race 9 – 4:35pm – Quayclean Handicap, (1200m)
I am going to stick with the consistent Zakat third-up in the penultimate race on Run To The Rose Day.
Zakat has been a model of consistency throughout his career, and he has missed placing only a handful of times in twenty-one previous trips to the races.
So far this time, he has filled the minors in similar races to this one, and absolutely charged home from the tail of the field here a fortnight ago.
He can settle a little closer to the pace on Saturday from barrier 6 and I am confident that this is his opportunity to strike.
Race 10 – 5:15pm – Cleanaway Handicap, (1500m)
Kingsheir can win the last on Run To The Rose Day.
The Kingman gelding is lightly raced, and he has been a strong and consistent performer in similar races to this one since debuting.
He scored and eye-catching win when fresh, filled the minors behind Kordia here last time, and he can strike again third-up.
