If the Rams win, they secure the NFC West for the third time in the last five years, while the 49ers can book their spot in the postseason with an upset.
The NFC West has been great for some late-season drama in year’s past, and I’m confident this one will be decided by three points or less.
San Francisco is well-deserving of a playoff spot after battling through injuries and several changes at the quarterback position, while I also thought Trey Lance and Elijah Mitchell both looked sharp in last week’s win over Houston.
Nothing is going to come easy on the road, but you could argue the Niners are playing the Rams at the perfect time.
Matthew Stafford has been a turnover machine over the last few weeks, and the offence as a whole really hasn’t been putting up the kind of points we saw earlier in the season.
Combine all of that with the fact the underdog is 5-0 against the spread in the last five meetings, and the Niners suddenly look like a great bet.
