Playing for spots in the top eight and top four respectively, St Kilda and Brisbane will be desperate to claim victory at Marvel Stadium on Friday night.
The Saints dropped to ninth via last weekend’s 110-65 loss to Geelong at GMHBA Stadium.
They’ve now lost six of their last nine matches.
Notably, the first result in that run came against Brisbane at the Gabba, seeing the home side triumph 78-57.
Lachie Neale was immense during that fixture, finishing with 37 disposals, while Hugh McCluggage added 33 disposals and a goal.
The Lions were also victorious last time out, using a fast start to overcome Carlton 114-81 at the Gabba behind Neale’s 32-disposal, one-goal display and a pair of four-goal performances from Zac Bailey and Daniel McStay.
Brisbane now holds a 10-1 record when playing in Queensland this season, although more pertinent to this matchup should be its underwhelming 4-5 record when playing interstate.
