The Victory are one of those sides that will have to overcome a big injury blow to a star player with reigning Johnny Warren Medallist Jake Brimmer set to miss time with a knee problem.
It could be a big blow to their hopes of crawling out of the A-League’s cellar having picked up seven points from their last four games and remarkably still being a chance of making the finals.
Sydney FC’s resurgence came to a bit of a screeching halt as well last week as they were second best to Melbourne City.
They did pick up all three points in a hard fought contest between the two on January 26 and it is tempting to back them here.
However with their own injuries also plaguing their campaign, it might be advisable to steer clear of the head to head market.
Where there is a bit of value is backing a high scoring contest, with the 2-1 game six weeks ago the lowest scoring Big Blue since May 2021.
