Sydney Roosters vs Melbourne Storm Preview

A costly penalty in extra time helped the Storm to a two-point win over the Roosters when these two sides last met back in Round 8.

The Roosters have done it tough ever since through injury, but they’ve done extremely well to win three games in a row to remain in the top four.

The Storm, on the other hand, have put together a tidy winning streak themselves.

After dismantling the Bulldogs last week, Melbourne has now won each of their last seven games, but it appears that still isn’t enough to sway the bookies.

The Roosters are odds-on favourites with home-field advantage as well as both Cameron Smith and Cameron Munster absent for the Storm.

Sydney, meanwhile, will likely welcome back Boyd Cordner from a head knock, while Brett Morris and Jared Waerea-Hargreaves remain a chance to return.

The Roosters do look a real chance to avenge their loss with a handful of their top stars returning.

It’s worth noting, however, that the last four games between these two sides have been decided by 1-12 points, so it’s probably worth avoiding the line.
