Nick Foles and Tom Brady will square off for the first time since Super Bowl LII on Friday as both the Bears and the Bucs hope to improve to 4-1.
Chicago suffered its first loss last week against the Colts as the offence failed to move the ball against Indianapolis’ fierce defensive line.
The Bucs, on the other hand, went toe-to-toe against Justin Herbert and the Chargers, only for Brady to come out on top with a casual five touchdown day.
Tampa Bay and Chicago haven’t met since 2018, but that hasn’t stopped our bookies from favouring the Bucs by -4.5.
Bruce Arians’ offence ranks eighth in the league in points scored this year, but the defence did show some real signs for concern last week giving up close to 300 yards and three touchdowns to a rookie quarterback.
On the flip side, it’s hard to see the Bears matching the Bucs on the scoreboard.
Foles appeared completely out of sync with his receivers last week, so if Chicago are to win, it’s likely going to come down to the defence carrying them most of the way.
The Bears have actually allowed the eighth-fewest points in the league, so there’s a good chance we Chicago’s defence at least keep them in the game.
This is by far Tampa’s biggest test against a top rank defence, so the Under looks a worthwhile play.
