Week 1 is always good for an overreaction, and that has certainly been the case as far as the Titans are concerned.
Tennessee’s blowout loss to Arizona has created a small sense of panic among the fan base, in all likelihood due to the fact the Titans could be staring at an 0-2 hole when this week’s trip to Seattle is all said and done.
In case you missed it, the Seahawks looked scary good in their double-digit win over the Colts last week as Russell Wilson and Tyler Lockett reminded everyone that they are still one of the top pass-catching threats in the league.
Defensively, the Seahawks also looked much-improved from a season ago, recording three sacks and 10 hits on Carson Wentz.
All of this being said, I still think the Titans are a little hard done by laying +5.5 against the spread.
Tennessee is one of those teams that coughs up a bad game every now and then, while they’ve also gone 5-2 against the spread in their last seven games following a double-digit loss.
I fully expect this game to be a shootout between two of the most talented offences in the league, but I’m not ready to write the Titans off just yet.
