Caulfield will take centre stage this weekend with four Group 1 races on the card. The fillies will compete in the Thousand Guineas (Race 7) over 1600m and favourite for the race is the Chris Waller-trained Foxplay.
She won both starts this time in, but I thought her most recent win at Randwick over 1400m was a really tough effort.
This filly has drawn perfectly in barrier 5 and the step up to 1600m looks ideal, so I expect her to be very hard to beat, but I won’t be taking her at short odds.
Global Glamour is the second favourite for the race after her impressive win at Randwick last Saturday.
She finished behind Foxplay in her first two runs back this prep, but I think this filly can beat her on Saturday if she rolls forward and gets an easy lead.
Leotie is a very smart filly in the making but her racing pattern is to get back and that’s a concern in this big field.
Amongst the others, Harlow Gold and Missrock are both loaded with ability and these two fillies can run a massive race at good each way odds.
