In what could be a pre-cursor to a world title fight, Tim Tszyu is a dominant $1.04 favourite at TAB to defeat Bowyn Morgan ($10) in the main bout of the Sydney Super Fight card tomorrow evening at Bankwest Stadium.
Four months after accounting for Jeff Horn in their super-welterweight bout at Queensland Country Bank Stadium in Townsville, Tszyu will be aiming to extend his unblemished record to 17 fights with the possibility of a bigger payday on the horizon.
Tszyu has tightened as favourite from an opening price of $1.06 to $1.04 and has received 75 percent of support from TAB customers to defeat Morgan, who holds a 21-1 win-loss record in professional fights.
Despite being part of the undercard, there is plenty of anticipation for the bout between retired rugby league star Paul Gallen and the New Zealand-born former mixed martial arts fighter Mark Hunt.
Gallen opened $3.50 on November 19 and is now a $2.45 chance at TAB to upstage Hunt ($1.30 to $1.55).
“On November 20, one TAB customer placed $5000 at $3.50 on Gallen to defeat Hunt and the backing for the 2016 premiership captain of Cronulla has been relentless with 85 percent of money on Gallen,” TAB’s Trent Langskaill said.
