The premier Australian fight of 2020 is set to take place at Queensland Country Bank Stadium in Townsville on Wednesday night with Tim Tszyu $1.50 favourite at TAB to defeat Jeff Horn ($2.60) in their super-welterweight bout.
Tim Tszyu – the son of hall-of-famer Kostya Tszyu – has an unblemished professional record from 15 fights with his last bout a technical knockout of Jack Brubaker last December at Sydney’s International Convention Centre.
Horn – famous for winning the WBO welterweight title by unanimous decision against Manny Pacquiao in July 2017 – has 20 wins and a draw from 23 professional fights.
In December last year at Brisbane’s Convention and Exhibition Centre, Horn regained the WBA Oceania and WBO Oriental middleweight belts by majority decision over Michael Zerafa.
Tszyu has received 65 percent of the support from TAB customers highlighted by one punter plonking $20,000 at $1.50 last Saturday on Tszyu to defeat Horn for a potential collect of $30,000.
