The Eagles and the Saints could potentially trade places on the ladder following the outcome of Saturday’s clash.
West Coast managed to maintain their spot in the eight last week with a much-needed win over the Crows, and it is no surprise to find the Eagles as the short-priced favourites heading back home to Perth.
The Saints could also venture back into finals contention with a bounce-back win.
St Kilda’s three-game winning streak came to an end last week at the hands of Port, but Brett Ratten has to be impressed with the way his side fought back from a 20-point deficit to take the lead in the fourth quarter.
The Saints have been average on the road this year, but it’s fair to say West Coast’s recent form leaves them looking a little under the odds in the market – especially when you consider St Kilda owns a 20-point win over the Eagles earlier in April.
This game really is one of the toughest to pick, but the Saints represent good value as the away underdog at the line.
St Kilda has played to a very strong 7-3 mark in this scenario over the last 12 months, while they’ve also gone 8-5 on the back of a loss during the same time frame.
