Missing four players who are on Socceroos duty, Melbourne City will have their work cut out for them against a stubborn Western United outfit.
When they met in early December, it was Western United coming away with a 1-0 win and they will like their chances of springing an upset here.
However they have played just once since Boxing Day and look like they are still finding their feet after the recent Covid outbreak in the squad.
They have the attacking talent to get after a vulnerable City backline that has conceded eight goals in their last four A-League Men’s matches.
However without Tomoki Imai, they may find themselves having to repel several City attacks which should still carry some weight with Andrew Nabbout and company still available to Patrick Kisnorbo.
Whoever wins will likely have to score at least twice and probably a third time just so be safe, I’ll back the over and sit on the fence in terms of a result.
