Wimbledon Womens Tips, Odds and Betting Preview – 2019

We take a look at the 2019 Womens Wimbledon Tennis Tournament and we give our tips and bets for what is shaping up to be a great fortnight of tennis in England where Aussie Ash Barty heads the betting. View the Odds for the Womens tournament and our Best Bet and Value Bet for the competition.

2019 WIMBLEDON WOMEN’S SINGLES BEST BET

Ash Barty – $5.00

The new World No. 1 looks to make it three wins in a row after claiming the French Open and the Birmingham Classic.

Barty appears to be one of the safest bets this year as she tends to save her best performances for the grass. She’s somewhat struggled at Wimbledon in the past, but as Barty has shown all year, she continues to learn from her previous mistakes.

It will take plenty of mental toughness to win the tournament this year and Barty continues to prove her doubters wrong. She lacks the experience others have in this year’s field, but with Serena Williams showing signs of age and Naomi Osaka looking out of form, this is by far Barty’s best chance yet.

2019 WIMBLEDON WOMEN’S SINGLES BEST VALUE

Simona Halep – $17.00

It’s a wide-open race between the women this year and while Ash Barty has the credentials to get the job done, it’s worth keeping in mind the World No. 1 has never made it past the third round at Wimbledon.

Naomi Osaka falls into the same category, having made it only as far as the third round last year. The Japanese sensation failed to fire at Roland Garros losing in the Round of 32, right before losing in the Round of 16 to World No. 39 Yulia Putintseva in Birmingham last week.

Osaka’s troubles can be chalked up to a breakup with her long-time coach and a handful of injuries. Serena Williams, meanwhile, looked a shell of her former self at the French Open last month as she struggled to find her usual power with the serve.

That leaves Simona Halep, who looks to be a dark horse in this year’s tournament. The 27-year-old lost in the quarter-finals at the French Open to Amanda Anisimova but has enjoyed success at the Eastbourne Invitational making the quarter-final against Angelique Kerber.

Halep has made the semi-finals at Wimbledon back in 2014 and should be hungry to return to the form that saw her win the French Open last year.

Hedging your Barty bet with a small play on Halep could be a worthwhile strategy.

BET NOW: SIMONA HALEP

2019 WIMBLEDON WOMEN’S SINGLES BEST ROUGHIE

Johanna Konta – $21.00

Despite losing in the Round of 16 in Birmingham last week, Johanna Konta caught the eye of tennis fans at the French Open after making it as far as the semi-finals.

The 28-year-old is now ranked No. 19 in the world and although she was born in Sydney, should have plenty of support from the London crowd. Konta has typically played her best tennis on grass and looks a nice price to cause an upset.
