England’s odds shorten to win Russia World Cup 2018

Perennial under-achievers England is the big mover in World Cup betting ahead of tomorrow’s Group G clash with Belgium.

The Three Lions have firmed from $11 into $8.50, with online bookmaker sportsbet, to win the World Cup.

Brazil is the best supported team and $4.50 tournament favourites ahead of Spain ($5.50) and Belgium ($7.50).

England striker Harry Kane is the $2.60 favourite to win the Golden Boot award ahead of Romelu Lukaku ($5.00) and Portugal’s Cristiano Ronaldo ($6.00).

“Kane has been deadly for England and has helped establish their place in the last 16. Harry has made no secret that he wants to finish the tournament as leading scorer and he will need to if England are to win their first World Cup since 1966,’’ said sportsbet.com.au’s Will Byrne.
