Who can enter:
The NBA Pick’Em Weekly 6 competition (“Competition”) is open to Australian residents aged 18 years or over only.
Opening/closing dates & times:
The Competition consists of Rounds, for each Round, the Promoter will publish the nominated games for that Round and open entries by no later than 11:59pm AEDT or AEST (whichever applies) on the date one day prior to the start of the first nominated game for the relevant Round.
A Round runs on selected days (usually Thursdays) as advertised by the Promoter from 15 December 2020 until 2020 (Competition Season) unless the Promoter starts or ends the term of the Competition at a later or earlier date, subject to providing the applicable regulator with prior notice.
Entries are submitted for each Round via the Pick’Em Weekly 6 website and app or via the NBA website at https://picks.nba.com (collectively, the “Entry Points”) and must be submitted by the time and date nominated on the Entry Points before each week. Each week, entries to the Competition will always close prior to the start of the first of the six nominated games for the given
Competition.
The Competition also includes a Pick’Em Champion Prize for the entrant who accumulates the most Points over the duration of all Rounds of the Competition. Points can be accumulated in each Round of the Competition and are subject to the same opening and closing dates and times as advertised for each Round.
How to enter:
To enter the Competition, register a NBA Pick’Em Weekly 6 account (Game Account) at one of the Entry Points and view the Competition page to see the six nominated NBA Games for that Round.
Select the Winning Team and Winning Margin range from each of the six games selected by the Promoter for the applicable Round (the “Picks”). After an entrant has submitted their Picks the Promoter may allow that entrant to edit their Picks until the nominated close time for entries to the applicable Competition (but not afterwards). Entrants must submit their final Picks prior to the closing time specified for each week of the Round. Once the entries have closed, entrants cannot change their Picks for that Competition.
In order to constitute a valid entry, you must agree to:
• open a Game Account including the terms and conditions that apply to the Game Account;
• agree to receive marketing communications from the Promoter; and
• subscribing to the NBA database and opting in to receiving marketing communications from them
By opening a Game Account and entering Picks the entrant agrees to be bound by these terms and conditions and any information published at the Entry Points about the Competition form part of these Terms and Conditions. The Promotor reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any entrant who the Promotor reasonably believes has breached any of these Terms and Conditions.
Cost of entry:
Entry to the Competition is free. Data charges may apply (check with your internet service provider or mobile network).
Maximum number of entries:
Only one entry is allowed per person, per Competition (multiple Competitions may be run each week at the Promoter’s discretion), unless otherwise determined by the Promoter from time to time subject to any approvals required from an applicable regulator. If the Promoter believes that any one person has made or may have made more than one entry to a Competition, then the Promoter may disqualify all entries that the Promoter believes have been made by that person. If the Promoter believes that any one person has or may have created more than one registration for any Competition then the Promoter may block all such additional registrations and disqualify the person from submitting future entries to the Competition.
When assessing whether to disqualify any entries on the grounds that the maximum number of entries per person may have been exceeded, the Promoter may – at its discretion – base its decision on the entrant’s email address, name, IP address or any other information, data, variables or factors.
Pick’Em Weekly 6 Prize:
The Competition consists of Rounds. For each Rounds. For each Round the “Pick’Em Weekly 6 Prize” will be a minimum of $10,000 and a maximum of $1,000,000.
The Promoter, in its sole discretion, will nominate the exact value of the Pick’Em Weekly 6 Prize for each Round on the Entry Points by the time that entries for that Round open (see ‘How to enter’ above). The prize amount for each Round will be clearly communicated by the Promoter on the Entry Points.
The Pick’Em Weekly 6 Prize will be won by the entrant who correctly selects the winning team and correct margin range from each of the six nominated games for that Round. If more than one entrant correctly selects all six games and margin range (“Pick’Em Weekly 6 Tied Entrants”), the Pick’Em Weekly 6 Prize for that Round will be split and shared equally between the Pick’Em Weekly 6 Tied Entrants.
If no entrant selects the winning team and margin range in all six nominated games for the Round then the Pick’Em Weekly 6 Prize will not be awarded for that Round, and instead a
Consolation Prize (as defined below) will be awarded.
Consolation Prize:
In the event that the Pick’Em Weekly 6 Prize is not awarded, a consolation prize will be awarded to the best performing entrant (“Consolation Prize”). The amount of the Consolation Prize will be publicised by the Promoter for each Competition and will be a minimum of $5,000.
The best performing entrant will be determined based on the following Points Criteria:
Correct Winner: 1 point
Correct Winner & Margin range: 5 points
If two or more entrants perform equally well according to the above points criteria, those entrants will each be considered a winner (“Consolation Tied Entrants”). Each of the Consolation Tied Entrants will win and be awarded an equal share of the relevant Consolation Prize.
If any of the games which are nominated for a given Round are abandoned, postponed or not completed for any reason, or if a single winning team and margin range is not officially identified for any of those nominated Games for any reason, as per NBA official results, the game will (at the Promoter’s discretion) be considered void (“Void Games”). If for any Round there is one Void Game then there will be no Pick’Em Weekly 6 Prize for that Round, but there will still be a Consolation Prize provided the applicable conditions are met. If for any Round there are two or more Void Games then the Competition will be deemed cancelled and no prizes awarded.
