Formula 1 returns to the Nurburgring for the first time since 2013 this weekend as Germany’s famous high-speed track prepares to host the first running of the Eifel Grand Prix.
Lewis Hamilton failed to match Michael Schumacher’s record of 91 Grand Prix wins in Sochi a fortnight ago, but the six-time world champion once again finds himself as the odds-on favourite heading into the 11th race of the year.

It’s been a miserable and forgettable season for Vettel as he looks ahead to what is hopefully a more promising future with Aston Martin in 2021.
The four-time world champ has finished inside the Top 10 only five times this year, but there is a chance for him to finish the season on somewhat of a high note this weekend on his home track.
Outside of Hamilton, Vettel will line up on the grid as the only other driver to have won at the Nurburgring in the past.
It’s doubtful we see him recapture his terrific win back in 2013, but with experience on his side, a points finish is not out of the question.
