The Heat and the Strikers are both desperate for a win, and each will get their chance in Brisbane this evening.
All credit to the Heat for continuing to find a way to compete with almost all of their stars out with COVID; at times it has clearly been difficult, and they have not been afraid to select local cricketers to fill gaps.
The Strikers have also faced their problems in BBL11, but it’s also fair to say that they have underperformed, and they remain anchored to the bottom of the table.
It is tough to imagine where the win will come from should the Heat have plenty of players ruled out again, and for that reason, I have to back the Strikers.
