A team effort ensured the 36ers a 102-96 win over the Hawks on Monday. Anthony Drmic (24 pts), Daniel Johnson (22 pts), Jerome Randle (19 pts), Eric Griffin (15 pts) and Brendan Teys (13 pts) shared the load in a much-needed victory after dropping four of their previous five.
They have a chance here to get to .500 while pulling the 3rd-placed United and their 11-9 record one win closer.
United were slow to get going but Chris Goulding and Stanton Kidd dropped 21 points each to beat the Hawks 104-91. With a 5-4 record on the road, United will back themselves here. In the peloton of teams chasing the Kings and Wildcats at the top of the ladder, this is one United can’t afford to drop games they enter as favourites.
