No multis in sight for our Punter Of The Week! $100 onto Richmond to win by exactly 35 points at $81.
The Tigers got off to a reasonable start with a 6 point lead at the first break. Dusty was in everything and our Punter would’ve been pleased with proceedings. Into the second quarter the Roos started to fire up with 5 goals. Mason Wood was dangerous and Waite bobbed up to join him. At the main break the Roos were up 48 to 46.
Our Punter wouldn’t have been too concerned at that stage. The Tigers were still looking impressive and the Roos have struggled all season in the third quarter. True to form, it was all yellow and black with a whopping 6 goals to 1. With the lead shooting out to 28 at 3-Qtr time it looked like the 35 point exact margin might get blown out of the water.
At the 20 minute mark of the final term the Tigers were up by 28 and our Punter’s margin was in sight. A goal to Butler at 24 minutes would’ve set the heart racing with the bet just a point away. With a minute on the clock Rioli jumped clear with the ball inside forward 50. A snap on the right rose up towards the posts but came across too far to go through for a behind. Our Punter was on! 35 points exactly with 1 nerve-racking minute left.
Richmond surged forward again but a free kick to the Roos sealed the deal for our Punter. $8100 in their pocket and a huge Saturday night ahead!
