The Taipans lost by eight-points to the Kings at home last week in a tightly contested game, but defence ultimately cost Cairns after allowing Sydney to shoot 42% from the field.
Brisbane lost by double-digits to the Taipans back in February, and although the odds are well in favour of the hosts, Cairns has surprisingly won four of their last five games over the Bullets.
Cairns did a lot wrong defensively last week, but they still have plenty to feel good about on attack. The Taipans shot 34% from the beyond the arc against the Kings and also won the battle on the boards.
Brisbane also looked competent offensively, but it’s doubtful the Bullets will see a 25-point performance from Lamar Patterson each week. The Taipans are 8-6 as the line underdog dating back to last season, so back Cairns to keep this one close.
