Carlton Blues vs North Melbourne Kangaroos Preview
The Blues should step out at Mavel with a renewed sense of urgency after keeping their finals hopes alive with a win over Collingwood last week.
David Teague’s side erased a two-goal deficit at half-time to win comfortably in the end, but they’ll need to improve on that performance if they hope to make it two wins on the trot against a gallant North side that has proven very feisty in recent weeks.
The Roos have nothing left to play for at this point, but they have been playing some decent footy of late with a win over West Coast sandwiched between two respectable losses to the Dogs and Essendon.
These two sides also played out a tight affair when they met last year – the Blues winning by only seven points to snap a five-game losing streak against North that extended back to 2015.
From a betting perspective, neither side has done enough to fill you with confidence, but North’s outstanding 11-6 record at the line this year does command some respect.
After trailing Collingwood last week, North can make this a contest if they start fast.
