Greater Western Sydney Giants vs Essendon Bombers Preview
The Giants ($1.42) will go in favorites as they host Essendon ($2.90) this Saturday afternoon in what is set to be one of the more fascinating encounters of Round 8.
GWS easily took care of the Crows to the tune of 67-points last week with the debut of Jesse Hogan in the orange being a highlight with his four goals.
The Giants have been playing some decent footy in recent weeks and are rightful favourites for this match.
Essendon appeared to look on top of things against Carlton last week, but let a 21-point lead slide, the third time they have done this in season 2021.
Both Essendon and the Giants have played in some really close encounters of recent, with the past two games between them being decided by 15 points or less – hence why I’ve chosen either side to win by 15.5 or less as leg one.
Baby Bomber Harry Jones really showed that Essendon might have a long-term prospect up forward last Sunday, kicking three goals and five contested marks. Pencil him in for a sausage roll as leg two.
For the third, our Champion Data Devourer has informed us that 13 out of GWS’s 15 games at Giants Stadium has gone OVER the total match points line – tick that off for leg three.
All three totals up to $8.90 – a spicy meatball.
