England’s World Cup striker Harry Kane is on target to land punters some hefty collects if he stays ahead in the Golden Boot standings.
There’s been a $1000 wager on Kane when he was $18 with Sportsbet, he is now the $1.16 favourite.
Belgium’s Romelu Lukaku was well backed early in the tournament, with a $9000 bet at $2.50, the bookie now has Lukaku on $9.50.
France is the $3.00 favourite to win the Cup, ahead of England $3.50, Belgium $3.75 and Croatia $5.50.
“A lot of the early money was for Lukaku, probably because England was outsiders to go this deep. They’ve made it this far on the back of Kane’s six goals, but Lukaku is only two behind and Belgium is in great form,” said sportsbet.com.au’s Ella Zampatti.
