This shapes up as another fascinating game between two bitter AFC West rivals.
The Raiders got the upper-hand over the Chiefs when these two sides met back in Week 5 with a surprising 40-32 win at Arrowhead.
Since then though, the Chiefs have been on a roll winning each of their last four games, although it is fair to say the quality of opponent hasn’t been all that great.
Of course, the same can’t be said for Patrick Mahomes, who now looks on course for his second-straight MVP award.
Kansas City’s offence has put up 30+ points in each of its last four games, which doesn’t bode particularly well for a Raiders defence that is really starting to show signs of wear and tear down the stretch.
Vegas’ win in Week 4 was more about Derek Carr and the offence than it was about the defence, while Mahomes also had a rare off day taking three sacks and throwing an interception.
The chances of history repeating itself appear pretty slim, especially considering the Raiders had their hands full only two weeks ago against rookie Justin Herbert and the Chargers.
When you throw in the fact the Chiefs have also won their last six games on the road, don’t be surprised if Andy Reid and company make a bit of a statement on the primetime stage.
