Melbourne City vs Western United Preview
It is reasonable to expect some sort of response out of Melbourne City after slipping up in Adelaide and giving up a 2-0 lead.
Patrick Kisnorbo needs only to point to his side’s last fixture against Western United to show why they need to be on their guard heading into this clash.
John Aloisi picked up his first league win in charge of the third year club against Perth but will still be looking for his attack to gel having only scored once in 180 minutes.
This may be the game where they have the chance to do that with Serbian forward Aleksandar Prijovic likely to make his second start and livewire Dylan Wenzel-Halls coming off the bench to attack a City defence that has hardly been resolute.
Even if Western United can score a goal or two, I just can’t see them keeping pace with City’s attack and I’ll take the reigning champions to win a high scoring match.
