The Melbourne Stars have slipped into a worrying form slump, but they’re faced with a terrific opportunity to bounce back into winning form at the expense of the Brisbane Heat tonight. We take a look at Saturday’s (25/1/2020) BBL Big Bash 2020 match which is between the Melbourne Stars and Brisbane Heat. The Melbourne Stars go into the match as favourites but the bookies have it as a pretty even match.

Preview:
Following a near faultless campaign, the Stars appear to have run out of puff right in time for the finals; suffering defeats to the Strikers and Sixers at their two most recent appearances. What’s particularly damning is those two opponents are probably their biggest threat in BBL 9 and they’ll need to quickly find their previous form, if they aren’t to bottle their chances yet again this season.
The Heat looked like a side building towards a serious finals tilt, but the wheels have almost completely fallen off and they’ve lost four of their last five, including three in succession leading into this. I think winning this is now a bridge too far for them.
