The Sunday action takes us to the MCG for the first time in BBL 9 and both the Melbourne Stars and Hobart Hurricanes will be seeking to keep alive unbeaten starts to the season.
The Stars could hardly have been more impressive in their comfortable win over the Heat on the Gold Coast on Friday and there’s little doubt that they’ll enjoy good improvement for the run. Their favouritism in returning home is justified.
Hobart season began in interesting circumstances, during the day and in Alice Springs on Friday and they should also relish a return to a less offensive climate. They did enough to beat the Sixers first-up, but were probably saved by their opposition’s poor performance, rather than their own being particularly convincing.
