The 3rd T20 between New Zealand and Australia will be played from Wellington on Wednesday night and the home side will be looking to wrap up the series after winning the first two games.
With some COVID concerns running through Auckland at the moment, the remaining three games of this series have been moved to Westpac Stadium in Wellington. There was well over 400 runs scored in the 2nd T20, which New Zealand were able to win in thrilling fashion, however, Wellington has historically favoured the ball throughout its history hosting T20s, with scores in the 140s and 150s being the consistent average.
I think that should favour the Kiwis slightly here, who have a much more experienced bowling attack and should be able to take advantage of the dominance they have had over the Australian top order in this series to date.
New Zealand have played in 12 T20 international games in Wellington over their history and have taken the chocolates in eight of them. They played India in their last T20 game in Wellington, their first loss there since 2014, and it came via super over. The Kiwis should be too strong here.
