North Melbourne v GWS | Saturday, August 27, 7.25pm (AEDT), Etihad Stadium
These two sides will probably play again in the first week of the finals – or will they?
The Giants have an incentive to go flat out and win and hope one of Sydney, Adelaide, Geelong or Hawthorn lose so they can jump into the top 4.
Also it’s in the Kangaroos’ interest to beat the Giants as this could mean the Bulldogs jump into 5th spot which would mean North will not have to travel interstate for the first week of the finals.
North were okay in Hobart against the Swans, but they still haven’t beaten a finals contender since their round 6 triumph against the Bulldogs.
The Giants will attempt to run the Kangaroos off their legs with the likes of Dylan Shiel, Stephen Coniglio, Tom Scully, Josh Kelly, Callan Ward and Ryan Griffen charging up the centre of the field in waves.
