North Melbourne Kangaroos vs Richmond Tigers Preview
It’s been a difficult week for those on Arden Street, and things aren’t about to get any easier with a game against Richmond ahead on Saturday.
The timing of David Noble’s axing came as a surprise on Tuesday, particularly on the back of a spirited game against Collingwood last Sunday.
The path ahead of North Melbourne is murky at best, and although some teams respond well on the back of a coach getting fired, it’s hard to know exactly how the player group feels about the decision at this early stage.
Richmond, on the other hand, have their own agenda after losing on the siren last week to the Suns.
The razor-tight race for a spot in the eight looks set to go right down to the wire, and the Tigers certainly didn’t help their cause with a missed goal, a sloppy penalty, and a dropped mark in the dying stages in the leadup to Noah Anderson’s game-winner.
Fortunately, the Tigers have been an exceptional bet on the back of a loss, covering in seven of their last nine games.
The absence of Dusty and Tom Lynch could make this a little more complicated than it needs to be, but with North in tatters and the Tigers looking to make a huge statement, Richmond should win by plenty.
