It’s happy days when you pick a couple of winners during a round of football.
But what about when you pick the exact score of two games and it nets you a cool $137,000?
Sportsbet.com.au‘s Punter of the Week, HP from Sydney, put $100 on a two-leg multi and it paid off big time.
HP picked Wests Tigers to beat St. George Illawarra by 13 points, a result that came through after a late Mitchell Moses field goal made the final score Wests Tigers 25 Dragons 12.
Even more amazingly, HP picked Manly to beat South Sydney by eight in the Monday Night Football game. His bet didn’t look good when the Sea Eagles jumped out to an 18-0 halftime lead.
But the Rabbitohs bounced back (and in fact, almost ruined the bet with a potential late try!) and closed the gap to exactly eight points, losing to Manly 20-12 and giving HP a stunning two-leg multi.
$100 became $137,700 and HP became Sportsbet.com.au‘s Punter of the Week.
