Bernard Tomic’s confession that he is bored with playing tennis has prompted online bookmaker sportsbet.com.au to offer markets on retirement options.
Sportsbet has Tomic at $1.50 to take on a TV commentator’s role after retirement. He is $5.00 to start coaching and $9.00 to become a motivational speaker. But Tomic’s love of the Gold Coast also has him $13 to become a Schoolies guide and $101 to take on the role of Meter Maid.
Tomic and another troubled Aussie, Nick Kyrgios, both bowed out in the first round of Wimbledon. Tomic is $1.33 to retire before Kyrgios ($3.50) and Tomic is $67 to give away his boring job this year.
“So Tomic is bored with playing tennis, well we could say the same about watching him play, on the rare occasion when he does. Who knows what he’ll do when he retires and I’m not sure anyone really cares,’’said sportsbet.com.au’s Christian Jantzen.
