After recording a tough 16-point qualifying final victory over Geelong at the Adelaide Oval, Port Adelaide has shortened from $6 to $4 to win the 2020 AFL premiership.
The Power – $34 before the season started – are now on the second line of flag betting at TAB with reigning premiers Richmond $3.20 before their qualifying final versus the Brisbane Lions at the Gabba tomorrow night.
The Cats have eased from $5.50 to $7 and their semi-final opponent next weekend will be the winner of Saturday night’s elimination final between West Coast and Collingwood.
One TAB punter enjoyed Port Adelaide’s performance having plonked $60,000 at $1.75 on the Power early in the first quarter for an eventual collect of $105,000.
A different TAB customer was dismayed as they placed $50,000 at $2.15 before the game on Geelong to lead at half-time and watched in horror as Brad Ebert kicked a goal with the half-time siren blaring to give the Power a one-point lead at the main break.
