One TAB punter is extremely confident that Melbourne will bounce back from last week’s capitulation against Canberra by placing $200,000 at $1.05 on the Storm to defeat Gold Coast at AAMI Park (2pm start AEST).
The punter in question will make a profit of $10,000 if the Storm defeat the Titans who enter this afternoon’s clash on an eight-match losing streak.
“This wager of $200,000 on Melbourne is easily the biggest bet TAB has received on any match during the 2019 NRL home-and-away season,” TAB’s Trent Langskaill said.
Melbourne has won three straight clashes and seven of eight against Gold Coast dating back to Round 14, 2014.
Gold Coast has played six matches at AAMI Park from 2011 to 2016 and their only victory was in Round 5, 2014.
