Japan will be contesting their first Rugby World Cup quarter-final on Sunday night and one TAB punter will be eagerly watching as they have a potential $731,000 collect on Japan to win the 2019 Rugby World Cup.
Over the course of six individual $1000 bets, the TAB customer in question has placed a total of $6000 on the Cherry Blossoms ($5000 at $126 and $1000 at $101) to win Rugby’s quadrennial world championship in their own country.
However, Japan are $5.20 outsiders at TAB to upstage South Africa ($1.16) in their quarter-final at Tokyo Stadium on Sunday night (start time 9:15pm AEDT).
The 2019 Rugby World Cup quarter-finals commence tomorrow night with England ($1.32) receiving 58 percent of the support to defeat Australia ($3.40) at the Oita Stadium (start time 6:15pm AEDT).
Following that clash, New Zealand ($1.18) are expected to brush aside Ireland ($4.80) at Tokyo Stadium (start time 9:15pm AEDT).
The All Blacks have acquired 94 percent of the support at TAB to win their quarter-final including one wager of $15,000 at $1.20 and three $10,000 bets at $1.20.
Yesterday, one TAB customer plonked $40,000 at $2.20 on New Zealand to win the 2019 Rugby World Cup for a potential $88,000 windfall.
