One TAB punter placed $1,000 on North Melbourne’s Ben Brown to win the AFL Coleman Medal on August 12 at $13.
The medal appeared to be a one-horse race with GWS forward Jeremy Cameron leading at almost every stage this year, however, in a moment reminiscent of Steven Bradbury’s win at Salt Lake City in 2002, Brown has snuck into favouritism.
Despite being six goals behind, the Roos forward capitalised on Cameron’s absence last round by kicking ten goals against Port Adelaide to now lead by four and firmed as a result from $13 to $1.10 with TAB.
Not long-ago Cameron was $1.10 to be the leading goal kicker in the home-and-away season.
However, he missed last week’s clash against Western Bulldogs with a minor hamstring injury and has since drifted to $6.
