If you didn’t catch it on Thursday morning, Barcelona overturned a 5 — 1 first leg defeat to PSG in their Champions League Round of 16 tie by sealing a 6 — 1 victory at the Nou Camp. They scored three goals in the last eight minutes to get over the line, including the winner with just 30 seconds remaining. It’s the greatest knockout stage comeback in Champions League history and, as you can imagine, the place went absolutely mental.
One Sportsbet punter would have been going mental too – and with good reason. The 94th-minute winner was also the final leg in all five of his multis. The combined price of these multis was $225, with a total return of $175,000. It might only be half of Lionel Messi’s weekly wage, but we reckon this punter might be ok with that just quietly!
Making things even more incredible, all of the multis were placed over five weeks ago, with two including 18 legs. Barcelona aside, the punter also tipped Danny Green to beat Anthony Mundine (we’re sure he was sweating through that one too) and Tyrone Woodley to beat Stephen Thomas at UFC 209. There was also legs that included tennis, cricket, league and union.
Here’s a breakdown of all five multis:
