Both teams are down at the bottom of the table and will be desperate to get the win in this one.
The Nix was denied a win when a late equalising goal from Brisbane Roar substitute Golgol Mebrahtu saw them have to split the points with a 1-1 draw, after hitting the lead in the 42nd-minute mark of the game only to have it taken away in the last minutes of the game.
Wet weather in Sydney resulted in Melbourne Victory’s clash against the Sky Blues being postponed.
While they couldn’t get on the pitch, they did get on the beers with their travelling supporters, including putting the club credit card behind the bar and shouting their fans who have stuck with the team in a horror season.
It was arguably the best performance Victory had produced all year, or you could argue it was the last time these two sides met back in February when they defeated the Phoenix 2-0 at AAMI Park back on February 24th.
The Nix are clear favourites in this one, and it’s really hard to trust Victory to do it again, however, I don’t rule out another draw and happy to back these two to split the points for a bit of value.
