Wests Tigers vs Canterbury Bulldogs Preview
The NRL might have saved the best for last this week as the Tigers and Bulldogs meet on Sunday afternoon at Bankwest.
A win for Wests is crucial after suffering their third straight defeat last week against the Knights, but all is far from lost as they themselves still sitting 10th on the ladder.
Speaking of the table, the Dogs will see this game as a real opportunity to not only spoil the Tigers’ party but also move a step closer to avoiding the wooden spoon.
The Dogs were pounded by the Storm 41-10 last week on the Sunshine Coast, but they only need to refer back to their narrow 18-16 loss to the Eels a fortnight ago to regain some confidence.
Several of the Tigers’ big playmakers went missing last week as the likes of Moses Mbye and David Nofoaluma failed to leave their mark on the game.
Fortunately, both players played a big part in the Tigers’ 34-6 win over the Dogs back in Round 7, so the chances of history repeating itself seem high.
